JOB SUMMARY
The Demo Engineer?s primary responsibility is to develop, deploy and support the Ariba demonstration system in a variety of environments for the Ariba sales force.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demo System Development:
*Work with pre-sales folks in the development of customized content and demo flows within a fully integrated demonstration system which can be deployed to laptops as well as hosted environments.
*Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Technical Support to ensure this system is a competitive advantage for our sales folks.
*Provide timely content updates as well as product patches to the laptop and hosted environments.

Pre/Post Sales Support:
*Provide pre and post sales assistance to pre-sales folks to assist them in all aspects of the sales cycle involving product demonstrations.
*All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*Bachelors Degree preferred.
*Previous experience with Ariba applications helpful
*Strong skills in Relational Database (Oracle), Application Server (Apache, IBM, BEA), Java, Javascript, xml
*Ability to learn quickly, think strategically and develop solutions that are outside of the box.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong commitment and focus to see projects through to completion.
*Good organization skills with strong aptitude for learning and adapting to new challenges.
*Proactive approach to solving problems and ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
