Client and Desktop Support Technician


In response to the growth of our business, we are searching for a highly motivated team-player to join our firm. The Technician is responsible for delivering technology support services to users of companywide internal and external client computer systems. She/he will: quickly resolve complex and everyday service requests relating to client computer hardware and software problems and malfunctions; provide assistance and follow-up on client inquiries; and perform client computer hardware and software installations. The Technician will be responsible for managing client expectations through effective communication and exceeding client needs by working until a job is complete. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


? Software installation and support


? Resolution of all hardware and software issues


? Configuration and deployment of new PCs


? Configuration and deployment of client telecommunications devices


Blackberries, mobile phone, broadband pc cards, etc.
Remote connectivity support

VPN, Citrix, etc.
Printer/copier troubleshooting and maintenance


? Creation of new user accounts


? Initial new hire orientation as it relates to network access, email, voicemail, etc.

Job Qualifications:




Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
MCP or MCSE
A+ Certification or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in an IT support or technical environment, with significant personal computer and/or client/server platform experience


? Relevant experience at a company of less than 250 people


? Microsoft Networking - Active Directory, Windows 2000XP


? Knowledge of Blackberry and office phone systems


? Well versed in the solutions and optimization of user settings, software support, installation of hardware and software, network connectivity, e-mail accounts, security settings and other related tasks.


? Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues including root cause problem resolution

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and time management skills including demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Superior customer service focus with strong decision-making, assessment and analytical skills

Proven ability to work under pressure
Authorized to work in the U.S.
