SofTec I.T. has a premier client in Raleigh, NC seeking someone with the following skills and work experience:

 

 

DOT is seeking a short-term contractor to be the lead developer for the Notice, Storage and Theft Mainframe application. The application needs to be enhanced to support a legislative initiative Joint House Bill #1840. This bill would allow an automatic notification to be sent to all parties that have an interest in the vehicle (i.e. Garages, Lien holder, and Owner of the vehicle). The application is a Mainframe system and DB2 is the Database. Work for this project requires ongoing discussions with the clients at North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), License and Theft Bureau, to ensure that requirements are clearly defined.

Experience with requirements gathering, user interface design, relational database, copybooks, and maps are critical for this development effort.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

 

Mainframe Developer for Cobol Coding

 

Will be responsible for designing and coding implementing a solution.

Candidate will need to manage time, milestones and be a self-starter.

Must work and communicate effectively with other affiliates.

Must complete tasks in a time manner.

Experience developing Mainframe application -Must have 5+ years experience working with DB2, CICS, Cobol -Must have 5+ years experience writing SQL statements -Must have 5+ years-continuous experience in gathering requirements -Must write scalable, flexible, extensible code -Required to document final software implementation details as needed -Excellent oral and written communication skills.
