Responsibilities
This position will lead a team of technicians who have the responsibility of operating and maintaining the production, pre-production, quality assurance and development environments for a commercial web site.

1. People management responsibilities including, staffing, scheduling, coaching, counseling, performance planning, performance, appraisals, training, and career development of the team.
2. Partner with development to ensure that future designs are secure, scalable, cost effective and congruent with the operating environment.
3. Provide detailed analysis of hardware and software environment to identify and eliminate single points of failure and performance bottlenecks.
4. Provide feedback to the technical teams regarding the performance and quality of the application based on monitoring and customer feedback.
5. Lead the risk analysis of existing and new feature and prescribe appropriate monitoring and reporting.
6. Keep upper management apprised of the reliability, availability and performance of the application.
7. Participate as a member of the management team to develop new strategies and business opportunities.

Qualifications
1. Position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
2. Significant Data Center experience in a large multi-platform environment or equivalent technical experience
3. Strong problem solving skills
4. Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with engineering, management and customers.
5. Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours in support of problem resolution/follow-up
6. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
7. Prior experience in operations management
8. Required to work on call as needed.
9. Travel as needed
Postion located in Bellevue, WA.
