Director, Product Management

Description

The Director of Product Management will serve as the main product management interface to worldwide operations for the FAST Radar products and options. Additionally they may be asked to take the product management lead on related core search modules and development efforts.

This includes issue escalation, resolution and follow-up with R&D, Technical Operations and Sales Engineering. It also includes formalizing and prioritizing the feedback from the major deployment projects and from key individuals. In addition, the Director will specify and prioritize the industrialization of modules produced by custom deployments, key areas in ongoing development projects.

Position Requirements

Education & Training

Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent) required in sciences. MBA or some additional business education is preferred.

Skills & Experience

Minimum of five years progressive experience in product management, product marketing, software engineering or positions with combination of technical and business tasks with direct dealings in software products and demanding customer bases.

Minimum of five years of working in the Business Intelligence, Business Activity Monitoring or related fields.

Entrepreneurial spirit and multi-disciplinary understanding, necessary to provide leadership of his/her product area.

Knowledge to well-working processes for efficient release planning and execution (ie. do not have to re-invent this, but rather use experience)

Alternatively, experience with software development kits, development communities and tools for such.

Strong communications skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to both understand feedback and educate back at all levels within a company, but in particular in communication with sales and development.

Individual must be able to work independently and as a supervising member of a team in a multi-task, fast paced environment

The ideal candidate would live in San Francisco or North of San Francisco so weekly visits to the Novato development team is convenient.
