We are looking for a seasoned product management professional. A successful candidate will possess strong communications, project management, leadership, influencing, and problem-solving skills. The candidate should also be someone who thrives in results-oriented and customer-focused environments, welcomes challenges, embraces change, is creative, can learn fast, and works well under tight deadlines.
The position includes both inward and outward facing responsibilities dealing with day to day product decisions within development as well strategic sales and competitive analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Define product requirements and work with engineering team to ensure timely and appropriate implementation.Work very closely with engineering to resolve day to day product definition questions including review of UI designs, bug review, and customer support inquiries.Coordinate CFT discussions in preparation for product release.Stay abreast of market forces that may impact the product and adjust messaging and the product roadmap accordingly.Get buy-in from management team about product directions and priorities.Qualify internal and external requests for product enhancements and adjust engineering priorities as appropriate.Develop and execute on long term strategies while driving tactical projects.Serve as prime resource for product technical, positioning and implementation questions from sales engineers.Present product capabilities and roadmap to prospects, customers, partners and others as required.Define the product messaging and work with Sales, Channels, Partners and Marketing teams to get all groups working from the same playbook.
Qualifications
A comprehensive understanding of product and project management practices.Hands-on/ team-player attitude toward tackling tactical and strategic work. Proven teamwork skills to drive on-time product and project results.Ten years in high tech software industry with a minimum of three years of experience as a product manager. Strong analytical capabilities and ability to think strategically.Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills. BA/BS in business, management, engineering or related field.Some travel may be required
