Director of Red Hat Enterprise Architecture

Job Description:


The Red Hat Enterprise Architect is responsible for driving business development and delivery around our global Services Oriented Architecture and applications development methodology. The right candidate for this role will build a strategy, or road map, that links business goals, user needs, and technology in order to fulfill the Red Hat business vision. This position is focus on internal and external customers while providing the path and direction for co-evolution of business and IT, and forms a common language to facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders. In order to achieve total enterprise delivery of our in-house developed and third party applications, the Enterprise Architect will be responsible for driving the definition of standards for data models, system integration, development life cycle methodology and quality assurance.

The Enterprise Architect must be well versed understanding of the information technology landscape - stretching from infrastructure, data warehouse, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends and extreme programming methodology is required. Strong interpersonal skills as well as solid strategic thinking are key. Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical personnel required.

Job Requirements:
Full life cycle software development experience of large-scale enterprise applications (requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing); Experience in developing and driving SOA strategies. Experience with BPEL and Oracle Fusion are a plus.OO design and development experience to include familiarity with core OO design patterns;Experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architectures;Experience with integrating XML and relational databasesFluency in first generation web services standards, technologies and tools (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, etc.) and working knowledge of second generation and emerging standards (e.g., WS-*, BPEL4WS) Clear understanding of data warehouse design and implementationReasonable experience with open source tools and applications. - especially Red Hat Enterprise LinuxDevelopment-level knowledge of one or more web services implementation approaches and technology frameworks Proven leadership experience in managing and developing quality individuals to achieve meaningful resultsExcellent written and oral communication skills Strong listening skills and the ability to project confidence and instill trust Experience in enterprise systems and software development environments with increasing responsibility leading to system architecture experience in large-scale software intensive environments. Some travel is required for this position
