Director or VP of Business Development

With its US office located in Tampa Bay (Clearwater), Florida, Sunbelt Software, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise system infrastructure software, including anti-spyware, security, anti-spam and system management tools. The U.S. company was founded in 1994 and offers product solutions that enable companies to protect and secure their infrastructure from costly inefficiencies including spam, Windows system downtime and network security vulnerabilities.

 

This position will develop new business for the company?s security technologies to software vendors, OEMs and ISPs. Responsible for identifying opportunities and capitalizing on these opportunities by working with the company?s technical  and management  professionals in developing and executing strategies leading to contract award. Accountable for new business results by developing and maintaining top level client and potential client and industry partner relationships, managing the relationships between the inside personnel and new and existing clients, and by substantial contributions in identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities for business expansion. Develop, draft, and execute capture plans and decision briefs. Participate in and/or lead proposal activities.

 

EDUCATIONAL/BACKGROUND NEEDED:

?  A proven track record in technology business development, preferably software.   

?  Experience in Microsoft-related software..

?  Experience in developing and successfully executing medium and large programs and from initial operating capability to completion.

?  Experience in hosting and briefing senior-level corporate execs and/or government officials.

?  Strong reasoning and communications skills, both oral and written.

?  Complex choice of action which requires considerable logic, knowledge, and understanding in order to analyze and determine the cause and effect of occurrences, and determine which one of many alternative courses of action to take.

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

?  Handles difficult negotiations requiring a well-developed sense of strategy, timing, debating skills, and persuasion.

?  Success is highly dependent upon the level and proficiency of the communication/writing skills. 

?  BS/BA in computer science, engineering, mathematics preferred.
