Job Description:
This position is for a Software Engineer who will actively contribute to the efforts of design, development, and maintenance of a multi-tier J2EE application. This is a high-availability, high transaction volume, self-service application that interfaces with several back-end systems within the enterprise. The individual will be part of cross-functional team spanning on-shore and off-shore development teams
Responsibilities:Demonstrate technical expertise in all phases of the SDLC of the application Maintain optimal design and highest code quality Participate requirement gathering sessions Analyze user requirements and write Technical specifications Provide Production Support as needed
Skills / Experience:2 to 3 years building applications in Java, J2EE, JSP/Struts, SQL 1 to 2 years of experience with at least 2 of the following - Eclipse, AJAX, AXIS, Hibernate or Spring BS in Computer Science Solid architecture and design experience in high-volume multi-tier internet applications Strong knowledge of and ability to apply OO and J2EE design patters Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts Experience using testing and profiling tools Experienced with working within a cross-functional team with the ability to demonstrate and apply a wide array of skills Knowledge of Web Services Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies (SCRUM)
