Job Description

This role is for a developer to join the Data & Analytics team and work on the design and implementation of a global data warehouse for equities order and execution data (DARWIN).  This individual will be involved in all development aspects of the data mart application.  This includes the implementation of the physical data model and the development of ETL processes (shell scripts, stored procedures, and Informatica Mappings) to transform and load data as well as the development of the reporting front-end. Responsibilities will be:

? Participate in the analysis and design of the new system

? Participate in the build of the physical database model

? Implement the business logic and the ETL (extract transform load) mechanism to populate the database.

? Develop database objects, stored procedures and packages, views, tables, and triggers as needed

? Develop UNIX shell scripts and other forms of ETL code (Informatica mappings) as required

? Work with front-end tools to develop the reporting environment

? Perform system integration testing and support user acceptance testing

? Complete supporting system documentation

 

Required Skills

?  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

?  Ability to work both in a team and on their own

?  Oracle database development experience including SQL and PLSQL

?  Familiarity with UNIX

?  Good analysis and problem solving skills

 

Desired Skills

?  Familiarity with Data warehouse / data mart concepts a plus

?  Knowledge or experience with an ETL tool a plus

?  Knowledge or experience with an OLAP or reporting tool a plus
