SCORE!?s program includes personal coaching, positive reinforcement and a customized curriculum that adapts to each child?s pace and learning needs. We currently operate 165 educational Centers across the country.

Position Overview

The Editorial Reviewer is responsible for review of all content in SCORE!'s educational software. Working with subject matter experts in K-12 Math and Reading, s/he develops editorial style guides covering the writing standards and tone used in the online and print aspects of the product, which will to be used for internal reference as well as for external development partners.  Using pre-defined processes and utilities, s/he documents deficiencies and the required modifications that must be made to the content to maintain the overall editorial and educational integrity of the product. The Editorial Reviewer will primarily report to the Vice President of Educational Affairs

 

Responsibilities

?  Develop requirements for editorial style guides utilizing the specific needs of the SCORE! customer and staff..

?  Work closely with subject matter experts and quality assurance to identify editorial defects in the product and log them in appropriate issue resolution and bug database tools.

?  Attend outside vendor training sessions and accumulate required knowledge

?  Other tasks as needed.

 

Required Skills

?  Five to eight years experience in editorial review and copy-editing, preferably for online products in K-12 education.

?  Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent in English, education, or related areas.

?  Good knowledge of software development for online products, with strong familiarity of the software development life cycle.

?  Expert skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
