RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience in analysis techniques in relation to energy trading systems.  A motivated self starter who works well with others and promotes a team, knowledge sharing atmosphere. Requires very strong written and verbal communication skills as well as knowledge and experience in all phases of the software/system development lifecycle: Appraise (business case), Define (feasibility and approach), Define (detailed design and build-specification), Execute (build and implement) and Operate (put into production service). The role will be focused on service improvement delivery as well as the flexibility to work within a rotational shift of providing analytic support to all relevant applications/databases throughout multiple groups within the trading and controls area. Therefore the position is best suitable for an experienced self-starter with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

 

? Work with the business in Houston to create the high level design of business activities and application processing requirements,

shaping/creating workflows and future business processes, create system and data requirements within a timely manner to meet on-going development timelines.

? Create functional and technical specifications within a timely manner to meet on-going development timelines.

? Data analysis and mapping in support of managing the data integration between various energy trading systems.

? Assist in the operations, verification, and enhancements of the systems to ensure data integrity.

? Address questions on data aspects of the energy trading operations and processes.

? Identify and troubleshoot issues relating to data flows between energy trading systems.

? Support projects, as necessary to implement energy trading systems, including future enhancements.

? Perform analysis of data in support of issue resolution for various integration projects within Trading and Controls area.

? Work with the business in Houston to create the high level design of business activities and application processing requirements,

  shape future processes, organizational models, system requirements and data requirements

? Produce detailed business change and systems requirements.

? Assist in the development of the detailed functional architecture

? Coordinate with the Testing Teams to ensure comprehensive test suites are developed

? Assist the wider project team in problem resolution and change control-Assist the Business Change & Implementation team in

  creating training materials, process documents and User Acceptance Test scripting and execution.

? Facilitate business requirements, prototyping and product demonstration workshop sessions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

? 5+years of energy trading experience.

? Good knowledge of complex database structures.

? Database skills using SQL (Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer.)

DESIRED SKILLS

? Technical background is preferable; with basic understanding and exposure to SQL/PL,XML,RDBMS,VML, as well as knowledgeable of integration messaging and issue analysis/resolution (i.e.Tibco).
