Job Description - Enterprise Software Developer

Jonova is seeking a skilled and experienced software developer to build enterprise-level applications. The applicant should have experience with both server and client side programming in Java. Jonova has a suite of products including single-user applications and multi-user applet-based and jsp-based web products. Our main development focus over the next year will be to continue moving our single-user applications to a multi-user environment and improving the usability of our entire application suite. We are looking for someone who can lead development projects in both these areas.

Responsibilities

* Lead design phased for feature development and user-interface improvements.

* Translate business logic and functional requirements into elegant and usable software design.

* Be part of development team coding client and server applications in Java.

* Perform software unit-testing, system testing and bug-fixing.


Requirements

* Expertise in Java and object-oriented design. Experience with Swing-based user interface design a plus.

* Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

* Experience with web-based technologies (http protocals, xml, J2EE) desirable.

* Experience with supply chain optimization, inventory planning or activity based costing desirable.

* Advanced communication and English skills (in both technical writing and conversation).

* Strong mathematical background desirable

* Experience with user interface and/or usability design desirable.

* Experience with open source development technologies (e.g., ant, cvs, eclipse) a plus.
