Exchange Systems Engineer

This position will have main responsibility for Windows Data Services. This includes but is not exclusive to Microsoft Clusters, Citrix Exchange, MQ Series and SQL servers, implementation, deployment, performance tuning and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include documentation and various Microsoft Windows support.  Position

Responsibilities:

? Provide installation and initial configuration of various services including but not limited to SQL servers, MQ Series Servers, Exchange, and Citrix servers

? Evaluate and implement upgrades to Microsoft Clusters, Citrix Server, SQL Servers and Exchange Servers

? Manage and optimize daily and weekly maintenance plans

? Maintain and update Disaster Recovery Plan

? Tune system performance and analyze capacity

? Implement database design changes to improve performance

? Provide high-availability servers for mission-critical Microsoft Clustered Servers, SQL servers, MQ Series servers and Exchange Database Servers

 

Experience: At least 5 years experience in IT, including at least 3 years specializing in Microsoft Exchange and SQL

 

Specific Skills:

? Ability to assess risks inherent in software / hardware implementations and make decisions (in collaboration with colleagues) whether these implementations can proceed based on risk analysis

? General understanding of technical issues relating to PC hardware and software, tcp/ip and network skills, and knowledge of Local and Wide Area Network  Open Position

? Excellent documentation skills (required).

? Must have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows workstations

? Must have a demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.

? Understanding of project management processes and techniques.

? Experience with systems integration.

? Deep knowledge of technical design processes and technology architecture components and principles.

? Ability to accurately and thoroughly document complex technical designs.

 

Education: No special degree required but Microsoft Cluster, SQL Clusters, and Exchange certifications desirable. MQ series experience desired.
