Job Description

Experiential designers play critical roles on multi-discipline teams developing new products and solutions.  You'll be part of a team that designs, implements, tests, and validates new inkjet printers for the home and professional photo printing markets. You will be working with peers in the US and Asia to produce a product that meets both our customer and business needs.

 

You will be responsible to understand our business dynamics and our customers.  With this knowledge you will develop long-term user centered strategies for our business.  You will also be responsible to create user-centered designs using state-of-the-art usability engineering principles.  You will collaborate with your peers and with a multi-disciplinary team whose goal is the successful launch and market acceptance of our products.  You will help define business strategies, develop user experience goals and objectives, and document detailed user experiences for our products.  Your success will be driven by your creativity, your innovative thinking, and your ability to communicate your designs to the broader business and engineering community.  You will be interfacing with a wide variety of professionals who are experts in their field to insure the success of our products and solutions.

 



Education

Master's (graduate), or Ph.D. (post graduate) degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent from an accredited institution

 

Experience and knowledge

Two years experience preferred.  Expertise in applying user centered design and usability engineering principles to product design, research, and development.   Excellent abilities across the breadth of the user centered design discipline.  Experience and understanding of digital photography is a tremendous asset.
