Experienced Visual Studio 2005 C# ASP.NET Senior Software Developer

Austin Provider Solutions (APS) was formed in 1995 and provides superior software and services to Managed Care Organizations across the country.  APS specializes in the development of HEDIS? software and services.  Our corporate office is in Austin, TX; however, APS plans to expand and open an office in the Denver Metro area.  APS is currently looking for an experienced full-time permanent Senior Software Developer in the Austin or Denver metro area to grow with the company.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

Development and design of multiple new software products using C# and Visual Studio.  Test, deploy and provide technical support, write on-line help and technical documentation.  Program custom and adhoc reports as needed. 

 

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

 A minimum of 3 years experience with Object Oriented Programming, analysis and design is required.  At least 3 years experience working with Visual Studio 2003 and C# is required as well as the concepts of service oriented architecture, smart client development and web services.
Must have Windows Application development experience

Must have a solid understanding of the ASP.NET page lifecycle
Adheres to the n-tier design principles and practices strong OOP/OOD design patterns
Practices test driven development and follows the agile programming methodologies

Has a solid understanding and proven experience with developing data intensive applications using SQL Server 2000 with strong architectural database design experience.

Microsoft Certification is a plus.  A bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent years of experience in a computer related industry is required. 

Must be able to work independently and be comfortable working for a smaller firm without the typical corporate constraints
Has a strong will to research new technologies and determine which technologies would be best implemented into existing applications

 

Additional qualifications that are beneficial include:

 Web-based experience is preferred. C++, JAVA, VB6, SQL, JavaScript ASP.NET, ColdFusion, PHP, HTML, XHTML MS SQL Server 2005, Microsoft Access, MySQL HEDIS or Health Care data experience a plus.
