Field Services for Publishing

Objective: The Field Services Manager will be responsible for the successful roll-out of SAP solutions for the publishing segment of the communications Market, supporting the SAP field sales organizations to achieve global license revenue goals. In collaboration with the sales, pre-sales, SAP Consulting and SI partner organizations, you will ensure successful deployment of SAP solutions. As one of the primary faces of development to the field and customers, the Field Service Manager will also need to roll-in requirements back into SAP global development organization to ensure continued product innovation and development. The Field Services Manager will work on key high tech go-to-market initiatives placing an emphasis on the business benefits and value based selling. In support of SAP's partner strategy, the Field Services Manager will collaborate with Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Systems Integrators (SI) to drive the success of partner activities in the High Tech space. Position Responsibilities: - Solid understanding of the Enterprise Software Sales Process for both new and mature products with a strong orientation to value-based positioning and selling principles. - Past experience supporting and enabling Enterprise Software sales processes and implementation processes for key stakeholders; sales executives, sales engineers, business development, internal and partner implementation consulting. A specific focus on driving fast time-to-volume through sales and implementation enablement. - Experience in project management for large and complex projects. The ability to perform as a project manager as well as an individual contributor in strategic SAP IS-Media subscription management and media product sales projects and initiatives is important. - Knowledge of the Enterprise Software implementation process for both new and mature software products. - In-depth knowledge of New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) business processes and NPDI enterprise software solutions and their value propositions. - Business Development: Analysis of market and competitive landscape, participate in the Go-to-Market strategy (FOD, JBD). - Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture concepts and composite applications. - Leadership skills and the ability to drive and implement (internally & externally) a vision for SAP products into the high tech vertical (OEM, semi conductors, contract manufacturers, distributors and software companies). - Past product management, pre-sales, consulting experience with SAP and/or experience with a direct competitor to SAP – ensuring a strong understanding of the high tech market, where it is currently and where it is headed. - Ability to work within a team and within a networked environment. Strong team orientation networking skills are essential to motivate team members from other groups and to work together to achieve jointly agreed-upon objectives. - Proven communication and presentation skills. - SI partner management Tracking of Media experts (partner and SAP) development, trainings, experiences and project assignments - BA/BS degree required - Basic Qualifications: Travel Requirements:
