Job Description

Firmware Development-— You will be developing firmware for the award winning HP All-in-One devices. More and more users are recognizing the convenience of having a device that prints, copies, scans, and faxes. This success has given HP the opportunity to enhance the current feature set as well as expand the scope of All-in-One to include customization of solutions for our customers. You will be writing firmware in C for the HP All-in-One devices. We are looking for creative and energetic engineers to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to develop the firmware required in these products.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and debugging firmware in the UNIX environment for real-time embedded systems. Specifically, we are looking for individuals that will help us invent and develop new All-in-One solutions for our customers. We need your expertise and desire to learn in areas such as reuse, networking, control systems, graphical user interfaces, FAX, teleconnect, and I/O. Together, with some of the best electrical and mechanical engineers in the industry, you will invent new solutions for our All-in-One devices.

Education

Bachelor's (undergraduate), Master's (graduate), or Ph.D. (post graduate) degree in a technical discipline (e.g. computer science, computer engineering information technology, engineering, math, etc.)

Experience and knowledge

Experience with embedded software (firmware)including C or C++ programming in a PC Windows environment. Working with cross-functional teams as well as practical experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Must possess working knowledge(development and application)with VxWorks or other real-time operating systems. Practical experience or familiarity with multiple programming languages and technologies such as Java, C, C++, Unix and Object-Oriented concepts is critical.
