GIS Technical Architect

Intergraph is seeking a GIS Technical Architect to join the Professional Services team.  Intergraph is a professional sales and services team that provides GIS solutions throughout the USA.  The successful candidate will lead and undertake activities related to the design, development, implementation, and support of Intergraph geospatial solutions. 

Intergraph focuses on geospatial solutions for Local Government and Transportation markets.  Particular emphasis in this role will be on: Mobile Location Based Services; Enterprise Web-Portals; and Enterprise spatial data modeling.

Duties include:

 

?  Analyzing, identifying, and documenting customer requirements;

 

?  Architecting end-to-end GIS Enterprise-Wide software solutions in the Windows desktop and Internet environments, including the integration of Intergraph GIS applications with other business systems;

 

?  Architecting spatial Oracle and SQL Server relational database solutions, including advanced data modeling and performance tuning;

 

?  Designing customer workflows, installation procedures, and acceptance tests involving both commercial and customized applications;

 

?  Designing, developing, installing, and acceptance testing of custom applications and interfaces;

 

?  Sales & marketing technical support, including demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

?  Bachelor or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline;

?  Architecture and implementation experience in the GIS industry, specifically within the Transportation and/or Local Government sectors;

 

?  Thorough knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle;

 

?  Implementation and development of software solutions involving multiple business systems;

 

?  Developing in a Windows environment with Visual Basic, .NET, C++, Delphi, or other OLE/COM development suite;

 

?  Developing in an Internet environment with Visual Interdev, ASP, VBScript, Javascript;

 

?  Designing and implementing spatial Oracle and/or SQL Server relational databases;

 

?  Good communications skills (written, spoken and presentation); and

 

?  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
