Graphics Technician

Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials/products offered by the American Gem Society Laboratories, LLC (www.agslab.com).

Generates and manipulates graphic images and text into consolidated and seamless products. Makes necessary corrections to files and scans to produce best possible product working in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop in Mac and PC environments.

Experience with a digital camera required as well as the ability to handle color corrections and manipulate digital images. Further, the ideal candidate has:

* The ability to catalog, archive, and retrieve photographs from a database.
* Familiarity with 3D modeling software.
* Experience using a binocular microscope (highly desired).
* Advanced experience using a Macintosh and a PC. Advanced knowledge and

proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

Requires a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the graphic design field or in a related area. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks while working under general supervision.

Ability to work in a team environment is important. Willingness to help others is vital. Experience working with critical deadlines is necessary. Willingness to work periodic overtime and to have some schedule flexibility is fundamental to our business.

Applicant must be able to pass a background check: criminal, education, work history, and credit. Further, applicant must be able to pass a drug test.
