Graphics/ Visualization Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and energetic software engineer to help build scalable, high-performance software infrastructure and components that support mixed-initiative information seeking and analysis. The specific position involves designing and developing scalable, high-performance visualization infrastructure and components that can help to delivery rich, visual experience on multiple platforms (e.g., desktop and the web). Such components will be used to support the creation of interactive visual summaries of massive amounts of data, and interactive, visual queries for fast data exploration and data analysis, in conjunction with natural language queries. These components must also interface with other components to dynamically support user-centered, situation-aware information exploration and analysis.

Major Field of Study: Computer science and computer engineering
Object-oriented design and programming for large scale systems, Programming in heterogeneous networking environment (e.g., desktop and web), Knowledge of 2D/3D graphics, Programming large scale and high-performance visualization systems, Practical product development experience, C/C++, Java, Web programming, System administrative skills and experience.
