Base Technologies, Inc is a cutting edge Government contractor in the DC area and we are seeking the best UNIX Administrators out there to work on our contract with DHS in Springfield, Virginia.

Successful candidates will:

. Evaluate, install and maintain Solaris and AIX computer operating systems within a multi-server environment.

. Plan, install, maintain and ensure the reliability of computer operating system software.

. Provide technical support to the Help Desk, development group, computer operations center and users.

. Optimize system performance to ensure the fastest response time.

. Maintain and monitor production systems used to support the administration of all major products offered by our client.

. Install, maintain, support and migrate all operating system database and communication software

 

The requirements for these positions include at least 5 years of experience with Solaris or AIX.

 

AIX administrators must have strong knowledge of IBM P series UNIX servers.

 

Solaris administrators must have 5+ years of experience with Solaris. The following programming languages are necessary:

. Veritas

. Oracle

. Perl

. Java

. C
