Hedge Fund Java Developers -- Westchester, NY

Successful multi-billion multi-strategy hedge fund seeks the best and the brightest software developers.

 

The ideal candidate
Must be able to work productively using Java (Swing is a plus).  Must have at least an academic background in C/C++ and Unix.  Must 1 to 5 years working experience and experience with design patterns.
Excellent math and quantitative skills. Must be able to work productively and accurately with large amounts of financial data. Prefer someone with background in hard science like computer science, physics, mathematics, or mathematical economics.
Must be able to handle tasks such as designing and implementing medium-sized applications, automating tasks such as data quality control, handling monthly and weekly data feeds from the third parties, organizing data in meaningful ways, and generating various reports to assist our trading decisions.
Will accept an entry level candidate from top 25 US university and a high GPA.
Fixed-income market, bond math, derivative, modeling, ABS/CDO, Bloomberg, Intex, excel addins, Java, C#, and web application experience is desirable but not required.About Hudson IT & Telecommunications
