Department Description:  This position will report into the Global IT Project Management Office, which primarily focuses on Network, Voice, IT Security, and Application projects for the global IT infrastructure of Oracle.

 

Brief Description:  As the leader of IT project implementation teams, manages the entire lifecycle of IT projects, including the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support plans for complex IT systems. 

 

Detailed PM Responsibilities:  Manage multiple, simultaneous IT projects of varying scope and complexity Develop a project plan to satisfy customer business requirements Negotiate for and manage project resources in a matrixed environment Procure required equipment (including writing justification/calculating ROI) Coordinate logistical movement of equipment, as required Ensure client acceptance of the final production platform Educate customers on Global IT standards, processes, and best practices

 

Job Prerequisites: BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, a hard science, or experience in a related technical or professional field. English Fluency is required for this PM who will lead regional and global projects. Experience working in varied IT environments, preferably focused on Network Management, Security, Telephony, Data Center and VOIP deployments. 8+ years of successful project management or consulting experience, PMI - PMP or equivalent required.  Experience working on Information Technology projects. Professional:  Comfortable with communication and interfacing at all levels of the organization with excellent communication, negotiating, and listening skills. Exhibits strong business acumen with ability to understand the impacts of initiatives including excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Additional Details:  Requires in-depth project management skills, effective communication skills, and good understanding of how to lead project teams. Prefer candidates with an understanding of MS Project, 6 Sigma or other Quality methodologies.

 

As part of a software project implementation team maps complex processes to systems in consultation with users, provides documentation, establishes acceptance criteria. May provide systems and processes advice to users and more junior staff or lead moderately complex projects

 

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Preferred Qualifications: 8 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree. Requires expert knowledge of all applications within a business area, plus some knowledge of other applications.
