IT Asset Coordinator

As an IT Asset Coordinator in the IS Logistics group at Micron, you will be responsible for managing assets and data within Asset Center and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). You will support UNIX and Windows Systems Management teams, Network, Telecom, and Field Services, among others.  You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date records on a variety of IT hardware and software items.  Order creation, receiving, and configuring items in Micron’s asset management systems are primary responsibilities.  In addition, responsibilities include creating and maintaining items and subcomponents in the asset catalog, monitoring inventory levels, and verifying accurate delivery of orders.  You will also maintain asset additions, moves, and changes ensuring adherence to proper standards. You will also assist in performing, reviewing and reconciling physical inventories of IT assets.  In this position, you will work closely with the Service Management BPA, Asset Manager, and Project Manager to assist in planning, designing, implementing and maintaining IT Asset Management initiatives.  You will promote best practices/procedures for asset management.  Additionally you will work closely with IS Logistics and Corporate Purchasing in the procurement process.



Qualified candidates will possess demonstrated knowledge of IT hardware and software required to support the technical teams.  Familiarity with Micron’s purchasing and budgeting process is desired. You must present a professional image inside and outside the company, have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to deal with change, and have the ability to operate in a less-controlled environment providing consistent feedback to your supervisor. This position also requires that you be comfortable directing meetings, negotiations, and communication with senior level representatives. 3-4 years of Asset Coordination experience preferred.


Education:


Bachelor’s degree and or a minimum of three to four years applicable Asset Coordination/Management experience is preferred.
