IT Support Specialist

This position deploys and maintains all desktop/laptop computers, printers; installation of software applications; and to troubleshoot and resolve all hardware/software issues. Manage and execute all national and local IT initiatives and Service Level Agreements as an individual, and as a member of the Desktop Support Team within the Field Services Department.


 

Accountabilities:

Ability to work independently to efficiently resolve customer issues and to support Desktop team members to meet Service Level Agreements.

Communicate well with Team Lead and Engineering/Helpdesk to ensure project and support objectives are met.

Deliver new applications, upgrades and patches while adhering to security and process standards & policies.

Thorough knowledge of PCs, peripherals, and network technologies

Actively participate within the Team to improve entire teams ability to meet and exceed customer expectations


Candidate must have well developed analytical/PC troubleshooting skills, a minimum or 3 years desktop and printer support experience.
Self motivated and participate well within a team in a large corporate environment.
Must have excellent Customer Service and communication skills.

Experience as a LAN Administrator or Support Analyst in a large Microsoft or Novell environment

Minimum 3 years experience with Microsoft and Novell technologies

Experience providing second level support for: Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, HP printers, and Wireless Networking

Understanding of basic network protocols

Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills

Customer and Team oriented work experience

Ability to work in a distributed team environment
