Image Management Specialist

Our Commercial, State & Local group has an opening for an image management specialist in Richmond, VA. The image management specialist will design, build, and maintain the core Windows XP image for over 90 Commonwealth of Virginia agencies. The successful candidate will work directly with internal and external teams to define requirements, build core images, oversee user acceptance testing, build detailed image configuration documents, assist in training desktop support staff, assist in designing a light touch desktop deployment process, oversee deployment of the image to 67,000+ seats, and provide 3rd level support for core image related issues.

 

Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience; minimum 2 years experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting images at the enterprise level, minimum five years experience with advanced Windows troubleshooting, expert knowledge of Windows XP, and experience using Ghost or Altiris imaging solutions. Knowledge of scripting techniques using either vbscript, Winbatch, Wise Script, or KIXtart accessing COM, ADSI, and WMI interfaces, familiarity with the Windows Installer architecture, and experience in large enterprise OS upgrade efforts is a plus.
