DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



DUTIES >> The successful candidate will serve in the Document Control function of the Engineering Document Control (EDC) group within the Technology Department. The Document Control function is responsible for revision control and maintenance of site engineering and automation documents and drawings, and maintenance of the paper-based document management system. The Information Specialist will maintain effective change control on Technology Department-controlled documents and drawings via Document Change Notice (DCN) and be responsible for maintenance of accurate, timely information of document/drawing records in the paper-based document management system. Additional duties will include to: Perform procedures for initiating, routing, and approval of documents and drawings in paper-based management system; maintain EDC drawing room and libraries containing as-built drawings, equipment files, automation documents, and software; perform library research as requested; provide !

Site-wide service for copy and CAD plotting services; act as site-wide source for number assignment for Technology Department-controlled documents, drawings, and software, as well as assignment of line and equipment numbers; perform duties at customer service desk as scheduled such as customer assistance, copying, plotting, research, and various other activities as required/requested- provide construction project support to include transmittal of document and drawings, entry and maintenance of document records in paper-based document management system, and other duties as necessary/assigned; coordinate with contractors and in-house requestors on matters relating to drawings and documents.



SKILLS >> Three to five years experience in document control environment- solid knowledge of change control theory. Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Word; database maintenance skills, experience with AutoCAD a plus. Solid experience in library maintenance and document filing. Flexible, able to work well with others in a positive and collaborative manner. Strong attention to detail skills and ability to multi-task. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Experience in GMP environment.



EDUCATION >> High Diploma required. AA/BA degree preferred.
