Information Technology Support Engineer

 

SDD is seeking an information technology specialist with background supportingthe following activities:

 

1. Design, implementation, and support of data center technology for the delivery of hosted  SDD software applications to customers.  Provide direct support to SDD customers who are utilizing SDD?s hosted application solutions.
2. Advise and assist global enterprise customers on the design,
implementation, and operation of internal information technology to support their own hosting of SDD products and services.  Provide direct support to SDD customers operating their own SDD solutions.
3. Design, implement, and manage SDD?s internal information technology
 ranging from servers to desktops and internal networks.

 

SDD specifically seeks ?hands-on? candidates who are motivated to help growa small emerging online applications software business while also supportingthe company?s internal information technology growth.  We are seeking a technologist with direct experience working with hosted systems, servers, networks, and related leading technologies and who can lead SDD in its use of emerging and leading information technology to the benefit of its customers and employees.  We seek a technologist who is motivated by service to others, communicates well both verbally and in writing, and who can translate customer and internal requirements into implemented technology infrastructure.  We are specifically seeking individuals with experience in some or all of the following technologies and management activities.

 

1. High Availability Real Time System Design and Planning.
2. IT Operations Management (including backup and recovery, capacity
planning, performance management)
3. Hardware technologies (including servers and disk storage)
4. Operating Systems (including Windows Enterprise Server, Unix)
5. Virtualization Technologies (including VMWare)
6. Client Technologies (including Citrix)
7. Telephony (including PBX systems and related facilities)
8. Enterprise Applications (including Exchange Server)
9. Database Management (including MSSQL and Progress)
10. Messaging (including Sonic MQ)
11. Network and internet security (including VPN)
12. General network engineering for IP based networks (including a small WAN)
13. Website Management/Webmaster

SDD is a long standing telecommunications software and services company based
 in Delray Beach, Florida.  SDD software and services are in use by many/most
 of the world?s most prestigious hotels, resorts, and conference centers. 
SDD?s JAZZ Fusion products and services are marketed globally and supported from SDD?s Delray Beach offices. Full-time position. Full benefits. Compensation is proportional to experience.  Moving allowances are available.  SDD will consider H1B transfer applicants.
