Installation Engineer

Bluepoint Solutions, Inc. located in Vista, CA is a rapidly growing developer of imaging software for credit unions with the potential to expand into other types of financial institutions. We offer feature rich solutions that improve credit unions service to their members while at the same time providing them with backup and disaster recovery plans. We offer a unique business model which allows prospective customers to purchase a license for our software, or via our unique ?inside out? program which allows the institution to purchase our services on a monthly basis with minimal up front investment.

 

We are looking for an Installation Engineer that will handle customer installation projects from the sale through the installation life cycle, including the training of customers on product uses.

Requirements:4+ yrs. Technical experience. 1+ yrs. End user training and support/services experience. Knowledge of document imaging. ODOC imaging. Server applications, networks and database. Windows Server 2k+ Enterprise Document Imaging Applications SQL Server Education and Certifications MCSE/A+ BS/BE desirable

Non-Technical Requirements:Excellent English speaking & writing skills. Project Management Experience U.S. Citizenship or  Green Card. Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities:Conduct pre-installation meeting with customers, which includes business and technical reviews. Generate documents based on customer requirements.  Stage and test servers. Install and test server/client software. Install servers/applications on site at customer location. Interface with customers existing networks, printers and storage devices. Training of end-users. Training of system administrator. Develop training programs and documentation. Proactively identify customer service issues, escalate and actively participate in the problem resolution process. Develop and manage client relationships. Turn successful installations over to support for on-going processing. Participate in various QA processes. Handle technical support issues. Travel requirement currently assessed at 50 - 60%.
