Intern

This is a great opportunity for on-the-job training at the IBM Innovation Center in San Mateo, CA. The Center has a highly supportive team environment while, at the same time, being involved with leading-edge technologies. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the successful deployment of system management tools and applications. This will include working with the latest server technology, operating systems and middleware to support innovative applications and to determine the best procedures for monitoring and managing the system environment. Specific assignments will be to: 1) deploy tools & applications to get the best & most reliable performance; 2) determine best practices for setting up alerts and monitors; 3) work with other IBM technologies (Tivoli Orchestrator and Autonomic Computing) to integrate the tools with these new technologies. Familiarity with programming languages Java C C++ and good communication skill a must.
