JAVA Application Specialist

SAIC in Beavercreek, OH currently has four openings for a JAVA Application Specialist.

 

The successful candidate will function as a senior software engineer developing web applications as part of a larger team. The application to be developed will be legacy tech data system that is being developed as new web applications on the GCSS Framework and interface with other legacy systems including JCALS and CTOR. The applications are to be written in Java and will use an Oracle 9i database.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Required Skills: Candidate must have 5 or more years of software engineering experience in full software life cycle development. Must have two years or more of directly related experience with Java/J2EE, XML, Object Oriented Analysis and Design including UML, Design Patterns (STRUTS) and Rational Tools (RUP), application development tools (WebSphere Development Studio), PL/SQL, Javascript and HTML. Experience with Oracle 9i Application Server or equivalent J2EE application server experience such as Weblogic, Websphere or Tomcat/JBoss. Requires ability to work successfully as part of a team, good communication skills. Knowledge of CMMI processes and procedures and experience working in a UNIX (SUN Solaris) environment.

Desired Skills: Experience with building Java based applications with JDeveloper, Oracle Application Server 10g, Oracle/Java Portlet Development, and Oracle 10g database(s), Solaris 8/9/10.
