JAVA Developer

The IT Group, LLC is a rapidly growing company that provides information technology services and business solutions to clients across the country. We are currently looking for a JAVA Developer to join our software development team and assist with designing, building, and maintaining our software systems. This entails full life-cycle development, which will involve new development and modifying existing code.

Position Overview:

The initial focus of the position will be to work with a large, existing CRM application that is built on a MySQL backend, J2EE Middleware, and SWING GUI. We are looking for candidates with a knowledge and understanding of the JAVA language and people who possess the desire and aptitude to improve our current systems, design new, creative solutions, and work well in a dynamic team atmosphere. Experience with application development and SWING is key. Individuals must be comfortable with developing core JAVA object-oriented solutions, testing and documenting these solutions, and integrating them with a MySQL backend and SWING frontend.

Preferred Skills:
* 1+ years JAVA programming experience (Heavy focus on SWING and application development)
* Experience with J2EE, EJB, JDBC, JUNIT are all a plus
* MySQL
* Testing/Debugging
* Netbeans, JBOSS, CVS
* Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle (planning, design, developing, testing, releasing)
* Experience with SOAP, Web Services, .NET is not necessary, but a plus
