Java/J2EE Programmer

This is a 6 - 9 month contract with potential for conversion. A local company is seeking a J2EE developer, and will consider both mid and senior level consultants. This individual will be responsible for Requirement Analysis, System Analysis and Design, Development, Implementation and Maintenance of various business and technical applications on J2EE platforms. Responsibilities include: o Analyze business requirements and develop system requirement specifications. o Convert business and system requirements into detailed system design and technical specifications. o Create work effort estimates that will be used to present to the customer and will be the primary input to project schedule work breakdowns. o Develop various implementation plans, e.g., quality assurance, training, documentation, transition, release, software build, as required by the established software development methodology. o Convert system designs and technical specifications into program code. o Analyze and troubleshoot existing program code and correct errors as required. o Create and maintain user, technical and operational documentation that describes program code, logic, changes and corrections. o Provide technical support to end users and other support groups. o Provide performance and production run monitoring for applications assigned after implementation. Qualifications :
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: o At least 3-5 years of experience programming in Java. o At least 3-4 years of experience using J2EE application development including Struts, JSP, Servlets, EJB, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, JMS, and JDBC. o Good understanding of complex SQL and using relational databases is required (specific work with Oracle is a plus).
