Java/J2EE Web Developer w/Real Time Trans Systems Exp. Alpharetta, Contract to Hire, W2 Only

Java Developer   A Web Applications Developer is responsible for analyzing user requirements, designing and coding solutions which solve business or technical problems, and testing deliverables in a web-based environment. Multifaceted role with an emphasis on leading technical design and development team efforts for assigned projects.  Has demonstrated experience with the full development life cycle.

 

*  Demonstrates logical problem solving techniques. Ensures a high standard on the job and exhibits creative ways to deliver tasks, and handles complex application features and technical designs.

* Designs html prototypes, visual interfaces and interaction of web-based applications. Designs and evaluates visual human interfaces utilizing user-centered design principles. Implements the user interface design. Designs and develops web applications to include layout style for on-line content including icons, color schemes and interface features using a number of visual components such as JAVA.

 

Excellent programming ability and knowledge of Java are the most critical skills required for this position. The candidate should have at least 4+ years of expertise in developing applications of which a minimum of three should be in Java. Experience programming in a real-time systems environment on high volume transaction processing systems is highly desirable. An emphasis on server side development is expected.

Candidate should also have strong communication and teamwork to be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Insurance industry experience is a plus. The candidate should be motivated to work and excited to learn about the business and enjoy working in a team environment both seeking and offering help to others. Must be able to manage both time and workload autonomously.
