The technical lead is a key member of our team and a vital cog in solution delivery engine. At CLIENT, the technical leads are the top technical people in the company and are looked to by other team members for technical leadership, team leadership and mentoring. Each development project has a technical lead that works closely with the project manager to ensure technical success of the project.
Because CLIENT is a systems integrator and a project-driven company, the technical lead must also have strong consulting skills. While the technical lead may only spend a small portion of their time in front of clients, those interactions are critical to project success and to the credibility and reputation of CLIENT. As a result, the technical lead role requires excellent people skills and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Our projects are typically staffed with two to four people and last from two to six months. They require a high degree of self-motivation and a focus on delivering client satisfaction. Although a great technical solution is one of the best ways to satisfy a client, we believe that timeliness, responsiveness, and expectation management are just as important.
We don't often create products from scratch - we integrate best of breed off-the-shelf products with the client's legacy environment in a way that solves their business problem. The ability to quickly learn diverse new technologies is a must.
