Java/Oracle Developer

We are actively seeking a Java Oracle Developer to join our team in Scottsdale. This application developer will assist with enhancements and maintenance for a sophisticated product aimed at the professional investment community. The focus will be on creating Java programs and Oracle stored procedures using financial data from various data sources. Reports in HTML, PDF, and Excel format are generated dynamically to display the data in tables and charts.

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement application components, including server-side components and database stored procedures, into the existing product Design web pages for reports and forms Perform data modeling and analysis with complex financial data Perform changes to Oracle database tables Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and database views Thoroughly test fixes and enhancements Play a direct role in maintenance, technical support, and administration of the applicationThis position is located in Scottsdale, AZ and requires no travel.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 4 years development experience using Java server-side development Minimum of 4 years development experience writing Oracle stored procedures and performance tuning Experience with multiple versions of Oracle databases and complex data models and SQL queries Strong object-oriented analysis and design Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities and new technology Ability to work independently and coordinate activities with other developersRequired Technical Skills:Java Servlets, JSP, JDBC Oracle 9i & 10g and DB Tools, PL/SQL, Quest Toad HTML, CSSDesired Technical Skills:Java Applets XMLThe Thomson Financial Culture
