Jr. Business Analyst

  Job Description: Jr. Business Anlayst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on personal experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Ability to support Quality Assurance functions.  
 
Major Responsibilities/Activities
-Gather and document detailed functional requirements. May include site visits, conference calls, facilitating working sessions
-Work with Development team to review requirements, discuss technical possibilities, propose solutions to Business requirements
-Work with internal Quality Assurance team to ensure adequate test coverage of all functional requirements. Assist in testing, defect tracking and issue resolution as needed.
-Production support ? assist client in trouble shooting with an eye toward defining and refining business processes to eliminate issues



Requirements:
Minimum Requirements  
Skills:  
Critical Thinking, Organization, Detail oriented, Self-motivated, Analytic mind-set, ability to work as part of a team as well as alone, excellent Communication skills  
Experience:  
Bachelor's Degree  
1-2 years Business Analysis experience  
Familiarity with full Software Development Lifecycle (concept to deployment)  Must be a US citizen
Government experience a plus. Ability to travel up to 10%
