Jr. Localization Specialist

Boston-based ArchiText will become a division of Translations.com and continue to be led by founder Hans Fenstermacher, a 25-year veteran of the localization industry and founding Chairman of the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA). In addition to remaining President of the ArchiText Division, Fenstermacher will join the senior management team of Translations.com.

Responsibilites: Analyze web sites and software applications for localization potential Coordinate completion of client quotes and requests for proposal Assess time/material requirements for completion of projects Interface with production team, sales and other departments Proactive calling to identified prospects and current customers to generate revenues Sales research, lead generation, prospecting, and qualification

 

Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree or its equivalent (Computer Science or Mathematics preferred)

? Superb analytical skills

? Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English)

? Extensive use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Internet browsers

? Proficient web programming languages (HTML, XML, ASP, JSP)

? Some knowledge of Flash

? Some knowledge of software localization

? Some knowledge of QuarkXPress, PageMaker, FrameMaker, Photoshop and Illustrator

? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

? Desire to work in a fast pace environment and be a team player

? Organized and motivated self-starter with a problem-solver attitude

? Must be flexible with hours to accommodate project deadlines

? Some localization or technology related experience desired

? Fluency in another language a plus
