Our client seeks a jr level person (1-4 years experience).

You will write automated and manual tests.

You must be able to code in C, and 1 or more of C#, C++, VB

Any basic knowledge of electronics is highly useful.

 

The products developed by this company are highly custom (and industry leading) and a result, we roll-our-own automated tests using our product's existing tools for creating executable files, as well as using Developer Studio to create various C and VB tests.  Moving forward, we will also start writing automated tests in C# (possibly a touch of Java).  Some scripting experience (e.g. perl) would also be helpful but not required.

 

As a member of the Software Quality Assurance team for our client?s award-winning products, you will work closely with other engineers to ensure high quality software. Your responsibilities will include creating, executing and maintaining automated tests and evaluating test results; performing ongoing, non-automated testing; use tracking database to ensure traceability and resolution of issues found during testing and by field reports.

 

Essential Functions:

 Create, execute and maintain automated tests and evaluate test results.Perform ongoing, non-automated testing.Act as liaison between internal customer support team and development engineering.

 

Minimum education and work experience required:

 BS is required in a technical field such as EE or CS.2 - 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.C or Java programming

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 Microsoft Office applications for report generation.Familiarity with at least one bug tracking or CM tool.Familiarity with test tools (oscilloscope, packet sniffer SW, serial / Ethernet / discrete I/O) is a plus.Familiarity with source code control software such as PVCS is a plus.Familiarity with basic electrical diagrams is a plus.IT and networking experience strongly preferred
