Jr to Mid Level Unix/Linux Systems Administrator

Immediate need for 2 Unix/Linux Systems Administrators to building, managing and maintaining production systems that provide mission critical services for our customer's education services organization: network, servers using the delivery of our classes, and lab environments for training. The successful candidate will have some solid experience implementing and supporting networks and applications in a production environment and be familiar with infrastructure support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Unix/Linux Systems administration
* Server installation and maintenance
* Troubleshooting and resolving production problems
* Some nights and weekends are absolutely required, to set up for courses conducted on Monday & Thursday mornings. Expect to work one night or weekend night every other week, on a rotation basis.
* Hardware troubleshooting and repair
* Windows administration skills a bonus
* Installs and maintains operating systems
* Sets up and administers NFS, DNS, VI3 ESX and server/client
configurations
* First line, 24x7 production support experience

REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 2 years Unix Systems Administrator experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Independent problem-solving and self-directed
* Experience with Unix (Red Hat Linux, preferable)
* Works well under pressure
* Knowledgeable with call center operations
* Strong record of documenting processes and procedures
* Team player that works well with Education Services Instructors
* Excellent customer service and communication skills

Education
* Some combination of A Plus certification, Redhat Certification, or
BSCS, BSEE or equivalent experience would be desirable.

Pluses
* Should have good understanding of data communications including
Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, VPN infrastructures
* Should have experience with high-availability infrastructures
including clustered servers, SANs, NAS, redundant network topologies, etc.
