Junior Java Web Developer

The Hosting division of ATG, located at our Washington DC office, is a fast growing industry leading Application Service Provider operation that is building the future of enterprise application delivery. We are looking for a special individual to join a fast paced, high pressure highly spirited and skilled team. You will work with many name brand customers, utilizing the whole suite of ATG solutions from eCommerce to Knowledge Base to Search and Self-Service.

Requirements:Develop custom functionality with ATG applications and J2EE (JSP, Java, Struts, DBMS)  Develop UI for sites, involving:  HTML, CSS JavaScript; Basic UI web development skills Provide site implementation and sustainment development Perform code changes to production sites Support code throughout all release cyclesManage many tasks concurrently and interface with customers Develop knowledge of ATG Solutions and assist in providing innovative custom solutions Strong desire to learn from others and solid team player Follows production release procedures effectively, from root-cause analysis to remediation, to ensure high quality, on-time service delivery.  Supports product test, assembly test, regression test, and test environment deployments to ensure high quality, on-time delivery of major releases. Seeks timely support when functional/technical issues arise so that a quick resolution is ensured and project deadlines are not jeopardized. Communicates with Customer Service Representatives when needed to gain functional knowledge surrounding issues and proposed enhancements, or to report issue progress and resolution.Candidates will be required to pass an electronic credit and criminal background check.

Desired skills:Familiar with concepts of complex tiered Java based Internet applications 1-2 years programming experience and working in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Java programming experience (front end UI and back end development)1-2 years Object-oriented programming  Experience working with Web Application Servers, preferably JBoss Application Server 1-2 year experience working w/ Web Application Servers, preferably JBoss or ATG Dynamo Application Server JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSLT and basic UI technologies Experience creating PL/Python/SQL scripts a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Visio, Excel, etc.
