LAN Administrator

PNC is actively searching for a LAN Administrator with Novell and Windows Administrative experience.

Experience supporting/ managing large user environment.

COMPAQ/HP, Dell and IBM server hardware knowledge

TCP/IP knowledge & experience

Basic Project Management Skills

7x24 Pager coverage

Performs LAN and Security administration services in the distributed environment.  Duties include (but are not limited to) building user-ids, user groups, application groups, print queues, resetting passwords, granting access to additional resources, and ensuring that service partners have proper authorization to run required applications.

 

Monitors and controls systems in a client/server environment in accordance with established routines. Assists in the operational support of server platforms.

 

May be called upon to assist in the setup, installation, and operation of all distributed servers. Tracks relevant capacity metrics and provides regular reporting so that capacity can be increased as necessary to fulfill business needs.

 

24x 7 Operational support (pager) for the Corporate NDS tree, NWS supported LOB trees, Novell servers, Corporate ADS Domain, NWS supported LOB Windows servers, and users for those environments.

 

Ensure that all access is in compliance with SOX, HIPPA and GLB mandates.  Provide 24 x 7 emergency access as required for the recently implemented Server Lockdown policy.

 

Monitor security access for all userids to comply with Corporate Audit and Security procedures.
