LAN Engineer Description:

 

Oldcastle Materials currently has an opening in Sterling, VA for a LAN Engineer at its Northern Virginia Datacenter.

This position entails the building and support of servers in a large scale growing environment which includes Windows 2000/2003, Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003, Citrix and SQL Server.

 

Successful candidates will:

 

?  Complete server builds, migrations and support across a multi-domain Active Directory Forest

 

?  Develop recommendations and assist in the planning and implementation of network architecture, policies and procedures.

 

?  Ensure maximum uptime and availability of systems

 

?  Provide support and guidance for Oldcastle operating companies System Administrators.

 

Requirements:

 

?  3 to 5 years network engineering with a demonstrated ability of software application support including Windows 2000/3, Active Directory and Exchange 2000/3.

 

?  CITRIX and SQL experience are a big plus.

 

?  Excellent communication skills.

 

?  Follow through, organization and ability to work in a team environment.

 

?  Knowledge and hands on experience of HP DL Series Servers is a plus
