Lead Application Architect

We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for a Lead Application Architect to join our team in our Port Washington, NY Headquarters.

Summary:

The Lead Application Architect, under the supervision of the Director of Application Development, works with a high degree of independence to understand business objectives, translate those objectives into application design and technical documentation, transition the application into operational status, and assist with application development, support and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

? Oversee the implementation of the software development methodology within the development cycle

? Assist with application development. Assist with application test planning and execution. Assist with application deployment tasks.

? Assist with business analysis and application prototyping sessions.

? Interpret business analysis documentation and produce technical specifications

? Mentor development team in object-oriented, best practices design and development techniques

? Identify and promote application development best practices

Job Requirements:

? BA/BS in Computer Science, or a closely related field, equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional work experience substituting for the required education on a year for year basis.

? Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and technical documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers and customers.

? 5+ years of programming/architecture experience in enterprise-level applications

? Experience managing multiple concurrent projects through complete development lifecycle

? Experience with web and application server environments

? Knowledge of relational database concepts

? Demonstrated experience applying the above technologies to the development of n-tier, web-based applications

? Some Travel Required

? On-Call as needed

? Must be able to work independently as well as with team members.

? Must be creative and resourceful, self-starter, highly motivated, critical thinker.

? Must have strong organizational skills.
