Lead Engineer-Hardware

Description: nt will work on hardware development for high rel/space programs. The candidate will participate in the conceptual design (hardware digital processing requirements) and research. The applicant will then take the concepts and develop them in FPGAs and circuit cards that contain the FPGAs. Applicant will subsequently follow the design through implementation, circuit testing, and subsystem integration and test.

The applicant will be required to identify with transmission methods, circuit design and layout, network design and operating systems as well as possess an extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art digital and analog test equipment in order to perform complex signal measurements, techniques and procedures to enhance intelligence studies and reporting.

The Applicant will work with other system and software engineers in and must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Must have ability to write regular reports and project presentations.

Applicant selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree and 8 years experience in one or more of the following areas: communication systems, signal processing, hardware development and/or analysis of digital signal processing systems.

The candidate is a digital design engineer with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) skills. Candidate must have experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques and system design. Requires the knowledge and the ability to translate system level algorithms into digital functionality. Ability to use C/C++ and Matlab for algorithmic modeling is highly desirable. Requires the knowledge and the ability to translate system level algorithms into digital functionality. Must have current experience and expertise in VHDL based designs targeted to FPGA in digital communication applications. Requires knowledge in VHDL methodology and EDA tools. Experience in the design of CCA boards with multilayer PWB is required.
