Job Description:

 

Position is involved in the support of eBusiness applications including Websphere, iPlanet, Weblogic, Ldap, and Vignette.





 





This job family provides expertise in infrastructure design, consults on complex projects/existing applications and overall middle tier distributed systems.  Provides in-depth consulting to IT management and staffs at the highest technical level in the identification and resolution of the overall infrastructure problems or difficulties. Analyzes existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance capacity and meet business requirements. Coordinates infrastructure programs and assists manager in determining system requirements.  Works with direct report and clients to determine and address system problems. Provides in-depth consulting at highest technical level to identify and resolve problems, coordinating evaluation activities of other administers. Evaluates new developments and recommends new infrastructure modifications. Consults on the impact of new/revised applications on existing infrastructure. May have project lead or managing duties for administers. 

 

Responsibilities:




Participate in development and maintenance of eBusiness applications.
Provide 24x7 on-call support of eBusiness applications as part of rotating team coverage.
Provide in depth consultation to application teams on eBusiness applications.
Define standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics.
Install and configure eBusiness applications.
Trouble shoot configuration and implementation issues.





















Requirements:
Relevant Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent, advanced degree preferred.
4 or more years of experience.
Experience with UNIX, and Websphere or Ldap, or Vignette required.
Knowledge of Weblogic, Tivoli Access Manager, or Java Security a plus.
Systems development experience.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Good consultative and communications skills.
Ability to work effectively with team, client, and IS management and staffs.
