Sterling Va. Job Description:

 

This is a hands-on lead software engineering position responsible for the development and management of projects. Ideal Candidate will work closely with the business analyst to develop requirements using RAD methodology.  She/he must be able to prioritize issues for resolution and communicate those issues and status to senior management.  Candidate must be able to coordinate activities with technical leads/team on design, development and testing activities, and must have a good understanding of NT-platform, SQLServer 2000, DTS packages, Transact SQL and ANSI-92 SQL. 

 

This position requires the candidate to demonstrate leadership and be able to communicate at multiple levels.  Experience working with stakeholders and technical teams is required.

 

Must have an understanding of project planning, scope matrix, and status/delivery of artifacts by projects, issues, and dashboards for the following phases:  preparation, inception and elaboration. 

 Required Skills/Experience:

 

?  Bachelor?s degree in related field or equivalent experience

?  5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Web-based solution

?  VB.NET, XML, Messaging, Web Services, VSS, FTP

?  Solid understanding of IIS server

?  Full life cycle experience methodologies (RAD is particular)

?  Security (PKI, PGP, Digital Certificates, etc)

?  Document management, Content management, Community tools, Portal framework

?  Personalization and Commerce technology

?  Configuration and Change Management Experience

?  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail

?  Object Oriented concepts and implementation

?  Understanding of Rational Unified Process (RUP), and Unified Model Language (UML)

 

Desired Skills:

 

?  Familiarity with rational rose product line

?  Familiarity with MVC paradigm

?  Familiarity with event and component driven applications

?  Familiarity with Healthcare and Financial verticals

?  Unix platform, Apache Server and Java, JSP, Servlet
