Lead Test Engineer

This position is contingent based on contract award anticipated on/or around September 1, 2006.

The project will involve supporting the sustainment, maintenance and new development on a J2EE web base.

Job Description:

Individual will be responsible for the preparation, execution and results reporting and analysis of complex software applications and system functionality. Testing will be used to verify successful implementation of web-based application requirements. Lead Test Engineer will develop automated test scripts/cases based on existing manual test requirements procedures or based on new problems encountered. The individual will also execute existing and new test procedures on a regular basis. Direct communication and collaboration with members of the Team is absolutely essential and a thorough understanding of application requirements is vital to success.



The tester?s job will include the planning, environment set-up, environment configuration testing, test execution, resolving errors and test reporting for the various interfaces & items. Design test plans & procedures and perform system & integration testing of developed interfaces and items as described above. Ability to supervise and delegate to small team essential. Must be able to develop and manage schedules.

Required Skills:

- Minimum 6 to 8 years experience in information systems
- Experience working in Object Oriented environment
- 4+ years experience with Oracle 10g/9i
- 2+ years with Rational XDE Functional Tester creating automated test scripts
- 6 to 8 years background in programming in a full life cycle development preferably in Java, VB or C/C++.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Test methodologies
- Working knowledge in SQL and relational databases
- Familiar with Testing process and methodologies and should have worked in a testing role.
- 2+ years Experience with Defect and Change management tools preferably Rational Clear Quest and Clear Case.
- Working knowledge of UNIX
- Ability to prioritize along critical path and meet project milestones and deliverable dates
- U.S. Citizenship required
- SSBI clearance required
