Level 2 Support Engineer

Level 2 Support Engineer for Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) working with customers at a high level of technical knowledge. Customer base is worldwide . Must be a self-starter, quick learner, and enjoy operating in a challenging and very fast paced environment. Must be able to provide rotating weekend and holiday support coverage, on a scheduled basis. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with both the technical and non-technical users and drive win-win resolutions . Strong organizational and self-management skills, a positive and cooperative attitude and committed team player. Must have strong web technology skills, such as Websphere, and XML skills a plus but not mandatory. A Tivoli knowledge a plus but not necessary. Working knowledge of one or more of the following databases: DB2, MSSQL, Oracle, Informix or Sybase. Desired Skills
At least five years prior experience providing second (or third) level technical software support of highly complex enterprise level software in an enterprise environment.

Major Field of Study: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging complex system/software issues
Record/report customer initiated design, reliability and maintenance issues
Ability to maintain test platforms and other technical resources
Monitor/manage customer resolution through proactive/regular communication
Ability to train customers, domestic and foreign partners as well as peers
Network trace and analysis tools usage ability
